Friendship Bracelets

This week, was the week before Christmas, and yet again, I visited another classroom!

With that being said, friendship bracelets became a focus for this week, with a new little friend that I had made a couple of friendship bracelets with, her for her and her classmates.

My approach to the week was calmer then, I feel, most of my previous visits or maybe that's a sign, that the centre was more then welcoming and accommodating.

As I reflect on this experience, I was thankful for networking opportunities, made possible, by this centre, and for their understanding and knowledge of where to place items. Having craft supplies on hand, was appreciated as I was able to make popsicle stick houses, and other crafts with the children with these supplies.

Lastly, I was thankful and appreciated the time, I was given to build on skills in the classroom and work towards goals I have such as reading comfort with children, or getting snack prepared.

Overall, this centre made my life easy as I don't have anything to complain about, and found the two weeks went by fast, and everything fell together the exact way I would have liked it to.

One thing, I would have appreciated, would have been actually more time at this centre, but think they know I'll be back, and hope they enjoyed my company, as well!

Christian Pre-school Placement Experience

From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Over the past two weeks, I've been lucky enough to have the experience of working with a team of ladies out of a community close to Grimsby, and let's just say, they made my two weeks, a piece of cake.  Everyone was so welcoming, kind, generous with thoughtfulness and truly just showed how actions speak louder then words.  From my first day there, they invited me to participate in circle time, and this was weeks before my placement actually started helping me to adjust and fit in. I was thankful for the time I had to meet all of the little ladies and lads at this children's centre and grow a bit closer to God and help build or re-build my faith in the church, a bit. Further, and worth noting, cleanliness, kept me at ease of over the last two weeks knowing, they had a fixed routine, it seemed, where table cleaning and bathroom visits were of high importance. Thankfully, there was snow for a few days, I was there. I got to s...
